Unleash Your Inner World with EXPRESSION!

Join us for a transformative journey at our upcoming Creative Art Therapies workshop, EXPRESSION. Dive deep into the healing powers of art, sound, and embodied movement as we guide you through a unique therapeutic experience designed to awaken your inner connection and experience.

What is Creative Art Therapies?

Creative Art Therapies encompasses a group of therapeutic practices that utilise art, music, dance, and drama as primary channels for expression and communication. It's an evidence-based approach that helps individuals explore emotions, enhance self-awareness, and foster personal growth in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

In this creative art experience we do not go into past traumas and experience, but instead focus is heavily based upon what is here and in the now and exploring any present day blocks to moving forward with our dreams, desires and goals.

Spirit of Creativity

Saturday 10th August - Saturday 14th September

10am - 12pm

6 Week Course

This course runs consecutively over 6 Saturday's and pulls from the incredible and inspirational Julia Cameron and her internationally acclaimed book The Artists Way. Julia created the Artists Way to help people connect through a spiritual path to higher creativity.

This course IS NOT JUST FOR ARTISTS! It's normal to feel a little apprehensive if you have not explored creativity in a while. You are safe and you are loved.

We believe passionately that we are all creative beings and that we can all find connectivity and healing through harnessing our creativity and this is a course all about that!; CREATIVITY; What is it? Where is it? How do we access it?… just some of the enquiries we will be exploring whilst gently excavating your inner artist! WE ALL HAVE ONE!

This course is for everyone. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! This is a non-judgemental practice which will challenge you just enough to encourage connection, perspective and potentially a shift in emotional wellbeing and the possibility of the release of unhelpful thought processes leading to a vibrant and clear YOU!

There will be no physical art class style tuition or painting classes we promise! This is a course in meeting ourselves, understanding what blocks us from doing the things that light us up! This course is helpful for anyone manifesting a new dream, a new career path or project, or feel the ache for change but have uncertainty about what it is you want to manifest or move through.

What to expect:

  • A non-judgmental experience!

  • Journaling prompts

  • Replenishing, supportive and self-regulating somatic movement practices, cultivating connection.

  • Balancing MEDITATIONS

  • CREATIVE ART THERAPIES techniques

  • Access to the Whatsapp group (should you like to join it) this is a space we can share insights, useful links and can ask any questions between sessions and receive support from your facilitator and each other.

Each week we'll start with a grounding meditation followed by a short 'check-in'. During this informal chat, you can choose to share verbally as much or as little with the group as you desire.

We will oscillate between the Art Room and The Wellbeing Room at The Nook, from week to week you will be invited to explore creative art tasks and gentle, mindful, movement initiatives. The movement practices have been designed to be accessible to all levels of practitioner and will be adapted to create an inclusive and supportive environment and practice.

The tasks assigned throughout The Artist’s Way book and within our sessions together will help dismantle negative core beliefs that can unconsciously block you from your well of creativity.

What you will need:

  • The Artists Way by Julia Cameron

  • An A5-A4 notebook for journaling, whichever size you like to write in.

  • All materials are provided, however, your welcome to bring along any coloured pencils, your fave pastels, felt tip pens, old magazines and anything else you might like to create with.

  • A willingness to dive deep, gently confront your fears and to maintain a sense of curiosity and open mind!

  • To get the most out of this course you will need to purchase your Artists Way book way ahead of time. So please purchase it as soon as you confirm you booking. There is no need to pre-read just bring it along each week as a reference to our practices.
